If Jesus is who He says He is, then your eternal destiny depends
on your response to Him.
Who is Jesus Christ? Who do you say Jesus is? Your response to
Him will determine not only your values and lifestyle, but your
eternal destiny as well. While Jesus was on earth there was much
confusion about who He was. Some thought He was just a wise man or
a great prophet.
Consider what the Bible says
about Him: Jesus said,
I and my
Father are one. (John 10:30).
That
means he claimed to be nothing less than God in human
flesh. The Bible also says that Jesus is holy (Heb
4:15), Jesus is the Savior (John 3:16), Jesus is the
only acceptable object of saving faith (John 14:6), and
Jesus is our judge (Acts 17:30,31).
Jesus is Lord over all,
in fact the Bible reveals that it was Jesus who created
everything (John 1:3, Col 1:16), therefore he owns
everything (Psalm 103:19). This means He has authority
over all creation. If the Biblical claims of Jesus are
true, he is God. Since nothing in the Bible has ever
been proven wrong, we should take this seriously.
All of us at CCA, share this common faith, that
Jesus Christ, the precious son of God, gave his life
for us on the cross, and rose again. We
believe it is most important to know and believe
Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, and we
long to share him with others.

For God
so loved the world
that He gave His only begotten
Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have
everlasting life. For God did not send His Son to condemn the world,
but that the world through Him might be saved.
John 3:16, 17

The Bible also says
that God created man in his own image (Gen
1:27). God is perfect and all mankind have sinned and fallen short
of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). The wages of sin is death
(Romans 6:23). Man became alienated from God and incapable to
remedy his sinful condition by his own means. God's justice
requires a sinless sacrifice. We could never pay this price, but
Jesus paid it for us. He was the only one qualified to take our
place. His death on the cross fully paid the penalty for our sins.
We can now be reconciled to God by our faith in Christ. Our good
works can't add or contribute to our salvation. Our good works as
Christians are only a thankful response for what the Savior has done
for us.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and
that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest any
man should boast.(Ep 2:8,9)

We are all responsible for Jesus' death. He
died to make salvation possible for all who would receive Him by faith.
He laid down his life for us voluntarily. He could have come down off
that cross in power and glory at any time, but He chose to pay the
required price for sin. God is just, the payment for sin had to be
made. His love for us kept Him on the cross. Jesus would not have gone
through with His crucifixion if there was any another way for us to be
reconciled to God.
What must we do to be saved? We must believe in only the one
true God, who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We must admit we are
sinners and understand the wages of sin are death. We must place
our faith in only Christ's righteousness and not our own. That's
it! Easy to understand, but hard for many to do.

Will you trust Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? If
you do, you will be forgiven of your sins and you will not be judged
guilty. Your will spend an eternity in heaven, to the glory of God.
You will now desire only to be obedient to God, and not to serving
your own desires. This is a supernatural act that only God can do
within you. You will not become perfect until you go to heaven, but
you will be forever justified to God by what Christ has done for
you.
